Group Protests Eviction of Homeless Men from Lucerne Hotel

September 11, 2020 Manhattan, New York : The homeless men staying at the Upper West Side Lucerne Hotel are scheduled to be moved out this weekend, following a threat of lawsuit filed by local residents who were unhappy with their new neighbors. Yesterday two busses arrived to move out families from Harmonia hotel in Midtown to make space for men who are staying at Lucerne. Harmonia is a shelter for families with disabilities.

Now the city has paused moving people out of Harmonia as negotiations continue. 17 families have already been moved out.
