Incident occurred in the Wakefield section of the Bronx, just after 11 a.m. this morning. 40 year-old male was struck by a bullet near his neck as he crossed the street near White Plains Road and East 225th Street.
He was found unconscious and unresponsive, rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Incident appears to have occured near Rienzi playground across from 021 Public School.
