Passenger of the Car that Rammed Through Times Square Protesters Speaks

September 04 2020 – MANHATTAN, New York: Juliet Germanotta, a day after being seen in a car that drove through protesters in Times Square, answered questions to our cameraman in front of the Midtown North Precinct as she waited to interview with police inside. Juliet appeared shaken on camera, near tears at one point and saying she was and is scared.

Around 7pm, yesterday, a protest gathered in Times Square for Daniel Prude, after a bodycam video became public showing how the black man was killed in Rochester by police in March. Videos show police putting a “spit hood” on Daniel Prude’s head and then holding him on the ground before he stopped breathing.

A small group of counter-protesters was also gathered and were at one point in an altercation with the the main group of Black Lives Matter protesters.

The counter-protesters, including Germanotta, were then led away by police and escorted to a vehicle. The vehicle had a ram rack and searchlight leading some to speculate that it was a police vehicle, Germanotta claims it was not, and that while was speaking to our camera, the driver of the vehicle was being questioned by police inside the precinct. The NYPD writes, “There is an ongoing investigation into an incident in Times Square involving a black Taurus sedan. This auto is NOT an NYPD vehicle.”
Video on social media shows Germanotta and the other counter-protesters entering the car before another video shows the car driving through the crowd of BLM Protesters, Germanotta was in a passenger seat of the vehicle.

Juliet says that she was scared for her life and that the BLM protesters were attacking the car before it sped through the crowd.

Police has interviewed the driver and five passengers inside the car that drove through marchers, they were released without charges.

While we do not have a video of the incident, it is readily available online https://youtu.be/4uPLaOBrKvk
