Man Chased And Shot at Grand Central Terminal in New York City

Police responded to reports of a shooting on the train platform at Grand Central Terminal at 10:26 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a 40yo man with a gunshot wound to the left arm and back. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

NYPD said preliminary details showed that the male suspect had been acting erratically and sitting next to the victim on a 7 train from Queens. When the victim got off the train, the suspect allegedly followed him upstairs to the northbound (4)(5)6) platform. The victim confronted the suspect and warned him to stop following him, then turned to walk away. The suspect reportedly shot the victim one time, leaving bullet fragments in the victim’s left tricep and bicep.

Some press reports claimed the weapon involved was a gun, but this detail was still under investigation by NYPD detectives. The suspect, who fled on foot, was not detained as of Saturday evening.

He was charged with Attempted Murder, Assault and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon: Loaded Firearm.
