Heavy fire and smoke teared through a warehouse in the Bronx early this afternoon.
Seven firefighters were taken to the hospital as a result. No civilians were injured.

There was reportedly a propane gas tanks inside and one rolling around the roof before the collapse.

The flames sparked after just after Noon today at 551 E 179st and quickly grew into an inferno. A witness said to SpotNews.tv when she parked her car it was just a small fire, but by the time she got upstairs to her apartment it was a massive blaze. Parts of the building have collapsed and warnings went out about hazardous materials in the building. Seven firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
