August 3 2020 – MANHATTAN, New York: A large crowd of students, teachers, and activists gathered outside of the United Federation of Teachers in the Financial District of Manhattan to oppose the unsafe opening of schools in the fall.

The group then marched to Foley Square where they held a rally to demand that the mayor, Bill de Blasio, keep schools closed after his announcement that schools would reopen at the start of the school year.
