NJ Mechanic Shot Dead in front of Cops

A New Jersey mechanic was shot dead while attending a gathering in the Bronx this Sunday, he was killed in front of a police officer, authorities said.

Police were nearby to disperse a crowd at Garden Street and Prospect Ave, when the call came through for assault in progress, in Belmont, Bronx on Sunday when gunman Joam Casado, pulled out a gun and shot 24-yo Juan Carlos Ortega in the head, killing him.

Grote Street and Prospect Avenue, blocks away from Bronx Zoo, is were the 20-yo shot in the groin and a 24-yo male shot in the head. 24-yo was pronounced deceased;
A 39-year-old Joam Casado was taken into custody; Charges- Murder, Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
