Freedom March in Chicago

July 24, 2020 – CHICAGO, IL: A group of over a thousand people gathered in Homan Square for the 4 year anniversary of Freedom Square.

The Guardian newspaper revealed in 2015 that police had “disappeared” more than 7,000 people at an off-the-books interrogation warehouse in Chicago, nearly twice as many detentions as previously disclosed.

A large police presence in riot gear marched along the protesters who marched through the neighborhood and gathered back at Homan Square.
