Memorial Basketball Game Held for 17 year-old Victim of Gun Violence, Bronx

Celebration of life for Brandon Hendricks, 17 year-old killed in shooting last week.
Event was held on 157th street and Cortland Ave basketball courts.

A Memorial Basketball game was held to celebrate the life of Brandon Hendricks who was fatally shot on June 28th, just days after graduation from high school. Family, friends, community and faith leaders came to the park where Brandon played the game he loved.

Anti-gun activists were calling for tougher gun laws to prevent the senseless gun violence.

Today would’ve been this basketball star’s 18th birthday.
