Dozens peaceful protesters arrested in Brooklyn during George Floyd protests

June 5 2020 – BROOKLYN, NY: A large crowd of peaceful protesters marched through Brooklyn after the Mayor’s 8pm curfew. Police, at first, told the crowd that if they stay on the sidewalk they would be allowed to keep marching. However, moments later, police surrounded and boxed the protesters in, the move called kettling, and arrested each protester, one by one. Among arrestees was a Healthcare worker Courtney Taylor, who gave an interview also explaining exactly what happened. The arrests occurred on Nostrand and Montgomery near Crown Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York.

It is unknown exactly how many protesters were arrested at this time, but it was reported to be around 50 people.
