George Floyd Protest in Albany turns into Riots

Albany, New York — Violent protests following Saturday afternoon’s peaceful demonstrations on the South End of Albany, New York. This comes just days after the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Fires were set, business and government building windows’ broken, and looting occurred. Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan has extended a curfew enacted Saturday night saying, only essential travel will be allowed after 7pm Sunday.
