A First Drive-in Comedy Show in New York brings laughs and honks

May 26th, Queens, New York – As New York begins opening, Bel Aire Diner in Astoria drew a crowd of vehicles and onlookers at the first drive-in Comedy show in New York. In place of laughter and applause, attendees honked their horns to show their support as the comedian stood on the bed of a pickup truck delivering his lines.

“It’s great to be back on stage” Jay Nog said, despite mentioning having to get used to the new way of doing things amid the pandemic. “That’s what stand-up, it’s an immediate response, and you’re not getting that immediate response, which is strange.”
