Nurses were seen crying on Friday (May 1st) in New York City when members of the fire and police departments arrived at a Manhattan hospital to applaud the work of medics in fighting the coronavirus pandemic. Footage showed firefighters and police clapping the doctors and nurses from NYU Langone Hospital campus at 7 pm local time.
Some nurses walked out onto the street to receive the applause and listen to police officers blaring their sirens as a mark of thanks.
