April 30 2020 – MANHATTAN, New York: Crowds gathered once again along the Hudson River, this time to watch the departure of the USNS Hospital Ship Comfort, which was docked in Manhattan since March 30th, and departed around noon to Norfolk Virginia. Only 182 patients were treated and discharged from the 1,000-bed floating hospital. The NYPD and FDNY had a major display of vehicles and boats to salute the ship as it departs
