Queens Locals Collect Money to Feed People on Ramadan

April 26 2020 – QUEENS, New York: Mufazzal Hossain and Jamie Kazi spent the day packing and delivering food to mosques in the Jamaica Queens area after seeing the impact of COVID-19 on their low-income community. They set out to raise $500 on GoFund Me, but were astonished as they raised $2800. They were joined by New York State Assembly Member David Weprin and other local leaders and politicians as they delivered food to community and Islamic centers in Queens.
