April 25 2020 – MIDTOWN, Manhattan, New York: Muslims Giving Back, a charitable organization based out of Bay Ridge is helping the homeless for Ramadan. Each night, for all 30 days of Ramadan they come out 35th Street and Broadway at 11:00PM to feed the less fortunate population who are now in an even worse situation since the pandemic started.
A group of volunteers gathers meals from a different restaurant each night who donate their food and hands them out to anyone who needs them.
Afterwards the group walks around the Penn Plaza area and into the subway station passing out meals to the needy, they don’t pray, they don’t ask for anything, they just give out the food.
