New York #lightitblue for Health Care Workers

April 09 2020, 8:00PM – NEW YORK, NY: The global #LightitBlue campaign began tonight in New York City and across the country as more than 150 venues across the country are illuminated in the color blue to show support to those battling the outbreak.
The campaign originated in the UK on March 26th when over 130 buildings were lit up in honor of first responders and health care workers.
Video shows: Empire State building tower turning blue and flashing at 8pm.
Other buildings in Manhattan illuminated in blue.
The Octagon on Roosevelt Island, lit up in blue with a flag at half-mast as ordered by the Governor yesterday.
