On Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at approximately 2140 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a person shot opposite of 1561 Sheridan Avenue, within the confines of the 44 Precinct. Pursuant to the investigation, officers discovered the 52-year-old victim at BronxCare Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his torso. The victim was transported to the medical center prior to police arrival via private means, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
