Queens Hospital Thrust into the Center of Coronavirus Crisis in New York City

March 25 2020 – ELMHURST, Queens:
The Elmhurst Hospital in Queens has been overrun with seriously ill Covid-19 patients, including 13 who died in a 24-hour span, officials said Wednesday.

A long line of mask-clad people waited for COVID-19 tests, as a police car rattled off guidelines for social distancing outside Elmhurst Hospital.
Doctors, nurses, police and EMTs all wearing PPE were helping people stay apart and get their tests quickly. Police vehicles use the speakers to periodically remind the crowd to keep social distance of 6 feet from each other. Ambulances continued to arrive at the location and patients brought in on stretcher.

A refrigerated truck has been stationed outside to hold the bodies of the dead.
