March 14th 11am – New York Governor Cuomo confirms state’s first Covid-19 related death at a New York City hospital. An 82-year-old woman with pre-existing emphysema who came into the hospital on March 3.

The governor says the state now has 524 confirmed cases of coronavirus. Of those , 117 patients currently hospitalized and one woman has died.


March 11th 5:01am – New York MTA to start disinfecting every subway station twice a day

New Rochelle is setting up a 2 mile “containment zone”, national guard is arriving to scrub the public gathering places and deliver food.


March 10th 3:30pm – Fake BBC account with 125 followers fake-infected Daniel Radcliffe with covid-19.

Link resolves to a genuine BBC news alert page that hasn’t been updated since 2017.

Their post falsely claimed: “Daniel Radcliffe tests positive for coronavirus. The actor is said to be the first famous person to be publicly confirmed.” there has been no such information confirmed.

March 10th 11:45am – New York public speaking Cory Johnson says : “An FDNY EMS member in Brooklyn tested positive for coronavirus. This is the first case involving a first responder. It’s not believed that they contacted it on the job. Praying for this worker’s recovery and for all first responders in the frontlines helping our city.”

The US team analysed known cases from China and other countries to understand more about the disease.

Most people who develop symptoms do so on or around day five.

Anyone who is symptom-free by day 12 is unlikely to get symptoms, but they may still be infectious carriers.

New York Governor Cuomo announces New York is now producing its own hand sanitizer, “New York State Clean,” via a contract with a private company, starting to distribute it to localities in need.

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey President Rick Cotton has tested positive for coronavirus, he is at a home quarantine. Cuomo says Rick Cotton was active at airports that Port Authority controls. His senior team is being tested.

March 8th 4:45pm – 106 people in New York have confirmed cases of Coronavirus. But- “As of Saturday only about 120 people in New York City had been tested for the virus. And it has been become clear that the new coronavirus was spreading faster than testing was increasing.”


March 7th 10:20pm – Breaking Italy announces lockdown for 14 provinces, including Milan and Venice, due to coronavirus. A total of around 16 million will be affected. People are not allowed to enter or leave the areas under the lockdown orders.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo declares a state of emergency due to coronavirus. New York has a total of 76 cases, 11 of which are in New York City.

Governor Cuomo said that all 57 Westchester County Covid-19 cases are connected to a New Rochelle attorney who attended crowded events at his local synagogue.

Cuomo says price gouging and scams are still a problem, eBay and Facebook are on notice. “Would eBay and Facebook, without getting into a whole philosophical problem about freedom on the internet, just police your sites” says Cuomo

Governor Cuomo says some of the self quarantined people are not following the rules. He says it does not honor your responsibility as a citizen, if you do not comply, there are other measures the state may take.

March 7th 11:20am – New Coronavirus Case Confirmed in NYC

Senator James Sanders Jr. has confirmed that there is now a coronavirus case in Far Rockaway.

A press conference with more details will be held today at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, 327 Beach 19th Street in Far Rockaway.

March 6th 10:30pm – Florida has reported its first two coronavirus deaths, two men in their 70s. Both had traveled internationally.

March 6th 6:38pm – At least two people who attended AIPAC earlier this week tested positive for coronavirus. Over 18,000 people attended the event including more than half of Congress, Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo and Michael Bloomberg.


March 6th 6:10pm – 21 people test positive for coronavirus on California cruise ship, out of 46 tested so far.

Nineteen of the positive tests came from crew members, Vice President Pence said. Officials plan to bring the ship into a “non-commercial port” over the weekend, where all passengers and crew will be tested.

March 6th 10:36am – St Mary Gate School of Heaven Catholic Academy located in Ozone Park, Queens is closing amid Coronavirus concerns


March 6th 10:30am – New York Mayor confirmed one new case of coronavirus in Manhattan. Male is 53 yo and has mild symptoms, he is associated with the Westchester lawyer.
This brings the state total to 23 confirmed cases.


March 6th 9:00am – New York Times Reported: 2,773 people are currently under quarantines in New York City, said Mayor
Government officials said 11 new coronavirus cases had been identified in the state, bringing the total to 22

Most of 2,773 people are under self-quarantine and have recently returned from the five countries that are high in coronavirus numbers.


March 6th 7:20am – Two private schools in New York City announced they are closing on Friday due to coronavirus concerns.

The Spence School and Collegiate School in Manhattan confirmed the closings.

The Collegiate School learned Thursday afternoon that a middle school family is being monitored due to the exposure of a parent to COVID-19 during a recent international trip

Reportedly that family has ties to both schools, The Spence School and The Collegiate School.

Also activating two EOC outposts in Westchester: one in Hawthorne and one in New Rochelle.

March 4th 11;40pm Pet cats and dogs cannot pass COVID-19 on to humans, but they can test positive for low levels of the pathogen if they catch it from their owners.

WHO told the Telegraph yesterday that people who use cash should consider switching to contactless payments instead. Because coronavirus may cling to the surface of paper bills for multiple days.

March 3rd 9:40pm – Amazon emailed its staff in the Seattle area this afternoon saying it learned that an employee in one of its South Lake Union buildings has tested positive for the coronavirus.


March 3rd 7:45pm – Mike Pence says the federal government is lifting all restrictions on who can be tested for coronavirus. They would be releasing new guidelines to fast-track testing for people who fear they have the virus, even if they are displaying mild symptoms.


March 3rd 6:12pm – New York’s Mayor De Blasio tweeted: “We can officially confirm some more information on the second coronavirus case connected to New York City. The individual sought care on February 27 at Lawrence Hospital in Westchester. He works at Lewis and Garbuz, P.C., a law firm in Manhattan.”

“The patient has two children with a connection to New York City, a daughter who attends SAR Academy and High School in the Bronx, and a son who attends Yeshiva University in Manhattan. They’re currently in isolation at home.” Mayor Said

“The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene personnel are on the ground at the law firm, SAR Academy and Yeshiva University. Disease detectives are following up with anyone who had close contact with the patient or his kids to get them tested for coronavirus.”said Mayor Bill De Blasio in a tweeter post


March 3rd 3:51pm – Westchester County officials directed Young Israel of New Rochelle halt all services immediately and for the foreseeable future due to potential COVID-19 exposure.


March 3rd 3:40pm – New York’s Mayor DeBlasio posted on Twitter:

March 3rd 2;42pm – UPDATE: There are now 9 deaths from the coronavirus in Washington state and at least 25 total cases confirmed statewide. Announced by KOMOnews


March 3rd 2:12pm – it has been announced that a total of 7 people died in Washington state from COVID-19. Patient was admitted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle February 24th and died on February 26th.

Patient had underlying medical conditions and was only tested way later and determined to have had coronavirus.

March 3rd 9:20am: Governor Cuomo says, “Two families in Buffalo who traveled to Italy are now being tested and are isolated at home.”

Cuomo said, two schools in Riverdale, Bronx are closed amid a confirmed coronavirus case from someone associated with at least one of the schools.

The 2nd New York patient with COVID-19 works in Manhattan and lives in New Rochelle, according to a source his child attends SAR Acadamy, a private high school in Riverdale. SAR High School is also closed in Riverdale. Also, in Mamaroneck, NY, the Westchester Day School is closed.

“It is inevitable that this will continue to spread. 80% of people who get it will self resolve and most won’t even know they had it. Fatality rate is 1.4 percent, double of what the normal flu rate is,” says Governor Cuomo.


March 3rd 9:18am – Westchester County patient with confirmed Covid-19 virus is now hospitalized in serious condition, Mayor de Blasio says; two schools close today over suspected case.

Mayor De Blasio posted this statement: “Yesterday, a New York State resident with respiratory issues was diagnosed with the Coronavirus at a New York City hospital. The patient remains hospitalized in serious condition.

City and State disease detectives are working closely to identify close contacts and the appropriate next steps. The test was conducted by the New York City Public Health Laboratory on our first day of testing.

With the results confirmed within a number of hours, we were immediately able to take next steps to stop the spread of this virus.

We have said from the beginning that is likely we will see more positive cases of the coronavirus. We are working closely with our state and federal partners to ensure we are taking the highest precautions necessary to keep New Yorkers safe.”


March 3rd 9:03am – Governor Cuomo has now confirmed a second coronavirus case in New York.

New York Times reports that it’s a man in his 50s, located in Westchester County, just outside of New York City.

March 3rd 8:55am – Reuters reports: A NYC high school is closing today after a suspected coronavirus case.

The school said it was a precautionary measure, following guidelines from the New York City Department of Health.

Governor Cuomo will hold a press conference to update the public on the COVID-19 outbreak at 9:00 am ET.


March 3rd 7:30am – Six people have now died from the coronavirus in the Puget Sound area in Washington State and at least 12 other people have been infected, health officials said.


March 2nd 10:05pm – MTA plans to deploy bleach to combat the potential spread of coronavirus.

“We’re going to be instituting new cleaning protocols in our schools, on public transportation, et cetera,” Cuomo said. “They will use a disinfectant, many will use bleach which is a good protocol in the flu season anyway. So if it smells like bleach when you get on the bus, it is not bad cologne or perfume, it’s bleach.”

March 2nd 7:31pm – Governor Cuomo announced on Twitter: ” I am announcing a new directive requiring NY health insurers to waive cost sharing associated with testing for #coronavirus, including emergency room, urgent care and office visits.

We can’t let cost be a barrier to access to COVID-19 testing for any New Yorker.

New Yorkers receiving Medicaid coverage will not have to pay a co-pay for any testing related to #coronavirus.

Currently all COVID-19 tests being conducted at the State’s Wadsworth Lab are fully covered.”


March 2nd 2:58pm – In addition to five reported deaths from coronavirus in King County there is also 1 death in Snohomish County, bringing the total to six deaths in Washington state and in the US


March 2nd 2:20pm – 3 new deaths has been reported in Washington state in regards to coronavirus.

March 2nd 9:44am – New York aiming to have the capacity to test 1,000 people per day for #coronavirus, Gov. Cuomo says.

Governor Cuomo says 80% of those with coronavirus “self resolve,” meaning they get the symptoms and it passes, they get better.

Mortality rate is about 1.4%. Fatalities are concentrated disproportionately among the infirm and elderly. Covid-19 does not appear to hit children worse than others.


March 1st, 5:00pm – The first case of coronavirus was confirmed in Manhattan today , March 1st, by the Governor.

“The patient, a woman in her late thirties, contracted the virus while traveling abroad in Iran, and is currently isolated in her home,” Cuomo said in the statement.
