Bronx Yeshiva Closed as a Coronavirus Precaution

Governor Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday announced the second confirmed case of Coronavirus in the state.

The governor says the patient is a man from Westchester in his 50s who had an underlying respiratory illness.

He remains hospitalized in serious condition and his child attends SAR Yeshiva School in Riverdal, Bronx.
SAR Yeshiva, a private modern orthodox school and SAR academy in Riverdale are closed today as a precaution.
School officials add to remain calm and follow the preventative measures to combat the virus.

The patient has two children with a connection to New York City, a daughter who attends SAR Academy and High School in the Bronx, and a son who attends Yeshiva University in Manhattan. They’re currently in isolation at home.
