Mass Protest in NYC After Trumps Acquittal by Senate

After the US Senate acquitted President Donald Trump of both articles of impeachment, thousands gathered in Columbus Circle and marched to 42nd Street to protest the outcome. Conflicts erupted and protesters were arrested during the tense march that was dogged by loud and pushy counter-protester, pro-Trump supporters who prodded and teased the protesters at every turn. The NYPD did a decent job of herding away the counter-protesters, but all along the route, citizens and protesters clashed over politics on a contentious and ominous evening for the US.
