Rush Hour Flash Mob for Bike Safety

January 14 2020 – MIDTOWN, MANHATTAN: Group of activists from Transportation Alternative marched down 6th Avenue in a singing flashmob today, from W35th street to W 42nd street. Where they held a press conference with Keith Powers. Conference was interrupted a few times by a counter Protester pointing out bikes breaking traffic laws. 6th Avenue has 17 blocks that need a safe bike lane and today they ask Mayor to fix this. The current plan for the bike lanes on 6th Avenue is estimated to take six years. Activists say, “six years is too long to wait for the city to ACT on a common sense safety project. Tell the mayor to #fix6th.”
