A large bolt fell off of the Astoria elevated subway tracks near 36th street and smashed the sunroof of this local’s car, and on his birthday nonetheless. This is not the first time something like this has happened in recent months and it was coincidental that this incident occured on the same day that Andy Byford announced his resignation as the CEO of the NYCTA.
