Suspicious White Powder sent to NYC Bar

EAST VILLAGE, NEW YORK — December 9, 2019:

Someone sent suspicious powder to the owner of the Nowhere Bar in the East Village which lead to an emergency hazardous materials investigation, according to video and police. Police said one person was exposed to the substance but did not appear to have been hurt as of Monday afternoon. A person in an all-white protective suit was seen stepping out of the bar and lying down on a stretcher before emergency responders wrapped them in sheets and carted the person away. Nowhere bar is a known “queer dive bar” according to their website.
